Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter on WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She then worked as an anchor in the morning and a reporter on WCBD TV. Her reporting of the ineffective response of the police in response to DUI cases in Charleston caused an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised directive from state authorities regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell received the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. After her time living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as anchor for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative reporter. She then became a part of Access Hollywood to work as a weekday and weekend correspondent. O'Dell in addition to being the lead anchor for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She's covered events like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards, as well co-hosting Pre ShowArrivals shows at The Emmys. Co-hosted The Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
